Continuing the theme of recovery, here is the before and after of the Kirconnel RTC.
The tank is still on the road, and re numbered L831.
I was turned around on return to Eggborough from Scotland and asked to head straight back up with Simon Harris.
We arrived mid evening and worked through the night to trans ship what we could after our big generator arrived.
The road was closed after we arrived and didn’t reopen until the following morning at approximately 10 am.
Les who was driving escaped with cuts and bruises after being cut out by the fire service.
A good few of you will also have great memories of Les as I have.
Unfortunately he passed away a couple of years ago after an illness.😢(RIP Les Reynolds).

This was Simon Harris’s rig M10,it was L5 that we lost

Les was cut out by the fire service, and only received cuts and bruises.

He was tougher than the truck.

The cold light of day.😥

Transfer of the remaining product.

We managed to trans ship 14 tons via the top fill V2-rail

Scotland.
